The African Democratic Congress – Diaspora Network United Kingdom (ADC DN UK) has officially commenced a massive nationwide campaign across the United Kingdom aimed at mobilizing Nigerians in the diaspora onto the ADC platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of ADC DN UK, Mazi Obi Okoli, during an interview at his residence earlier today. According to him, ADC DN UK is driven by a shared purpose, building momentum for transformative change in Nigeria.
“ADC DN UK is united by one clear objective: to mobilize Nigerians in the diaspora as active stakeholders in shaping the future of our nation. We are not spectators; we are partners in progress,” Mazi Obi Okoli stated.
Nigeria stands at a critical crossroads in its history. With the 2027 general elections rapidly approaching, the demand for credible leadership, national unity, and visionary governance has never been more urgent.
ADC DN UK believes that Nigerians in the diaspora possess immense human capital, global exposure, and strategic resources that are essential to repositioning Nigeria for sustainable development and accountable governance.
“Our mission is clear,” the Chairman emphasized. “To mobilize knowledge, resources, and integrity-driven leadership capable of transforming Nigeria from the ground up.”
We plan to ADC globally to achieve real and lasting impact, ADC DN UK is committed to growing strategically, intentionally, and inclusively. The organization has outlined a comprehensive roadmap to galvanize diaspora participation and influence national outcomes.
Key focus areas will include:
Establishing vibrant ADC DN chapters across UK regions while actively engaging Nigerian professionals, students, and community leaders.
We shall support voter education, youth empowerment, and civic awareness initiatives in Nigeria through strong partnerships on the ground.
We leveraging our experiences over to to apply diaspora knowledge and global experience to inform policy development in governance, innovation, education, and entrepreneurship.
We intend to build coalitions with through collaboration with reform-minded organizations and movements committed to transparent, accountable, and people-centered governance.
We plan to identify training, and supporting credible candidates who embody integrity, service, and compassion.
ADC DN UK stresses that its greatest strength lies not merely in numbers, but in unity of purpose and coordinated action.
“If we begin organizing now not in 2027, but today, ADC DN UK, alongside our counterparts in Ireland and Scotland, can become a decisive force for change as Nigerians head to the polls,” Mazi Obi Okoli concluded.
