Anambra Police Urge Indigenes to Join Force, Highlight Career Benefits

The Anambra State Police Command has called on eligible citizens, especially indigenes, to consider careers in the Nigeria Police Force, citing opportunities for personal growth and active participation in national development.

Spokesperson of the Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said, “Joining the Police Force offers Ndi Anambra a platform to contribute meaningfully to improved policing services, promote unity, and support nation-building efforts. Increased participation of indigenes strengthens community-oriented policing, builds public trust, and enhances security outcomes.”

He further emphasised that policing is “a noble profession anchored on service, discipline, and patriotism, providing structured career growth, professional training, and the chance to positively impact society by safeguarding lives and property.”

SP Ikenga urged indigenes to view enlistment as “a constructive way to be part of national discussions on security and governance,” stressing that active involvement in national institutions is crucial for inclusive development and lasting peace.

The Anambra State Police Command’s announcement comes as the ongoing recruitment process seeks to attract qualified applicants from across the state to strengthen local policing initiatives.
