On Saturday, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed his heartfelt condolences to Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), following the tragic passing of his daughter, Fatima. Fatima, aged 25, succumbed to a prolonged illness on Friday.
Her death has prompted an outpouring of sympathy and condolences from family, friends, and prominent Nigerians. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje described Fatima’s passing as a significant loss not only to her family but also to all who knew and loved her.
Ganduje acknowledged the profound pain of losing a child, stating, “No words can fully capture the sorrow of such a loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mallam Mele Kyari and his entire family during this incredibly difficult time. We pray that Almighty Allah grants Fatima eternal rest and provides the family with the strength to endure this irreplaceable loss.”
He also prayed for divine mercy and comfort for the bereaved family, encouraging them to find solace in the belief that Fatima’s earthly journey has reached its conclusion.
