Newly released documents from the US Department of Justice have included photographs that appear to show former Prince Andrew on all fours over a woman or girl lying on the floor. The images, released on Friday as part of the latest batch of Epstein files, have intensified scrutiny of the royal and revived calls for him to testify before the US Congress about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the emergence of the photographs strengthens the case for Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, as he is now known, to appear before lawmakers. Speaking during a visit to Japan, Starmer stressed that Epstein’s victims must come first, adding that accountability requires full cooperation from everyone connected to the disgraced financier.
One undated image shows Mountbatten Windsor looking directly at the camera while leaning over the fully clothed individual whose face has been blurred. Another photograph shows his hand on the person’s abdomen, with a third individual visible in the background resting their feet on a table. The release provided no captions, dates or context for the photographs.
The document batch also contains email exchanges between Epstein and Mountbatten Windsor from August 2010. Epstein invites him to meet a twenty six year old Russian woman described as clever, beautiful and trustworthy. Mountbatten Windsor replies that he would be delighted to see her and authorises Epstein to share his contact details. Additional emails show the pair later arranging a London meeting, with Mountbatten Windsor suggesting dinner at Buckingham Palace for privacy and Epstein noting they would need private time.
The exchanges occurred two years after Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting sex with a minor. While neither the images nor the emails indicate criminal wrongdoing, they add to the growing public pressure on Mountbatten Windsor to provide full transparency. CNN has sought comment from him.
