Governor Soludo Champions Public-Private-Community Partnership, Commissions 5-Kilometer Road in Ezinifite

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has officially commissioned a new 5-kilometer road in Ezinifite, Aguata LGA, constructed through a groundbreaking public-private-community partnership (PPCP). The project, funded and executed by Chief Anthony Obele, a prominent son of the community, highlights a new model of collaborative development in Anambra State, blending private initiative, government facilitation, and community participation.

The newly tarred road, cutting through key neighborhoods, is expected to improve transportation, ease access to local markets, and enhance the daily lives of residents. Unlike typical government projects, this road carries personal significance for Governor Soludo, who emphasized that such partnerships accelerate progress beyond the capacity of government alone.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Governor Soludo praised Chief Obele’s dedication, calling it a “model for sustainable community development.” He noted that Anambra indigenes worldwide are contributing to the state’s growth, urging them to invest in local infrastructure. “At the speed we need to move, government alone cannot achieve development,” he said. “Even small acts—paving a few meters of road—can create lasting impact when done for the public good.”

The Governor also encouraged all citizens, whether in the diaspora or at home, to embrace opportunities to uplift their communities. He described the PPCP framework as a blueprint for shaping Anambra’s future through collective responsibility and active participation.

Chief Anthony Obele, the project’s visionary, commended the state leadership for fostering an enabling environment. He stressed that true greatness is measured by tangible contributions to society, not titles, and expressed confidence that this road marks the start of many more community-driven initiatives.

For Ezinifite residents, including traditional and community leaders, the road represents more than just infrastructure—it symbolizes empowerment, hope, and the potential of bottom-up development. The project stands as a testament to what can be achieved when citizens take ownership and work alongside government to transform their communities.
