The governor of Abba Yusuf has made a bold political statement, proclaiming that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is the only party capable of governing both Kano State and the entire country in the 2027 general elections.
Addressing a large gathering of supporters on Sunday, Yusuf dismissed rival parties, insisting that no other political platform can secure victory for Nigeria. He framed his declaration not just as support for the APC, but as a broader endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s leadership and vision. The governor, who recently defected from another party to the APC, emphasised that his political future and that of the state are now firmly tied to the ruling party’s fortunes.
Yusuf also vowed to continue delivering development in key areas such as education, infrastructure, health, agriculture, and youth empowerment, suggesting that APC’s governance brings tangible benefits. He urged residents to register with the electoral commission and actively mobilise in support of the APC ahead of the 2027 polls.
