The Obidient Movement has announced its full preparedness for the forthcoming Anambra State elections, vowing to protect every vote and resist any form of electoral malpractice.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday in Awka, the National Coordinator of the Movement, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, revealed that the group had completed the inauguration of Polling Unit Commanders across all 5,720 polling units in the state — a move he described as “total grassroots coverage.”

“From Awka to Awkuzu, from Nnewi to every ward and community, the Obidient family is alive, active, and alert,” Dr. Tanko said. “The era of results being written in back rooms is over. This generation of Nigerians will not tolerate a return to electoral malpractice.”

According to him, the movement has deployed digital tools and intelligence networks to monitor accreditation, voting, and the transmission of results in real time.

Dr. Tanko also dismissed claims of internal division within the group, insisting that the Obidient Movement in Anambra remains united and focused on its mission to drive positive change through the ballot box.

“There is no faction, no confusion. We are one, and we stand ready to defend the people’s will,” he stated.

He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to maintain neutrality throughout the election, warning that any attempt to compromise the process would be met with lawful and democratic resistance.

Dr. Tanko further urged security agencies to ensure a safe voting environment, emphasizing that citizens must be allowed to cast their votes freely and without fear.

“To every Anambra citizen, your vote is your power. Protect it, use it wisely, and stand firm for integrity and character,” he advised.

Concluding his remarks, Dr. Tanko said the Obidient Movement was not merely participating in the election but leading a broader generational shift in Nigeria’s political landscape.

“The world is watching, Nigeria is watching, and the future is watching. We, the Obidients, are ready. A new Anambra is possible — and together, we will make it happen,” he declared.
