Peter Obi, former presidential candidate, called for urgent and comprehensive electoral reforms during the 3rd Annual National Summit of the Concerned Progressive Obidient (CPO) support group in Abuja on Thursday. The summit also featured the public presentation of The Flame of Hope: Igniting the Soul of a Nation, a new book by Emeka Patrick Ude.
In his address, Obi described electoral reforms as the foundation of a functional democracy and essential to creating jobs, boosting inclusive growth, and unlocking the potential of Nigeria’s youth. He emphasized that credible elections are key to improving critical sectors such as health, education, and poverty reduction.
Obi encouraged Nigerians, particularly young citizens, to actively participate in the electoral process and maintain faith in the vision of a new Nigeria built on justice, equity, and shared prosperity.

He commended the CPO group for their dedication and praised Ude for the book, which Obi said serves as both an inspiration and a call to action for national progress.
