Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, had a spiritually enriching weekend as he visited three Nigerian states in a series of significant engagements.
Obi began his day in Imo State, where he joined former President Olusegun Obasanjo and other prominent Nigerians at the Assemblies of God Ogbor Uvuru, Mbaise District, for the dedication of Noah’s Ark Church. He expressed hope that the church would inspire the local community to contribute meaningfully to building a better, more just and united society.
Following the church dedication, Obi travelled to Umuahia, Abia State, where he joined Governor Alex Otti in marking the second anniversary of his administration. The event took place at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Aguiyi-Ironsi Layout. Obi offered prayers for Governor Otti, asking for divine wisdom and strength for him to continue delivering good governance to the people of Abia.
The day ended in Lagos, where Obi attended the wedding celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Nwapa. He wished the couple a joyful and peaceful marriage, and encouraged them to play their part in nation-building through their union.
Describing the day as “spiritually very rewarding,” Obi reiterated his belief in the power of community, faith, and personal commitment to national development.
