The Plateau State Ministry of Education has directed the immediate closure of all schools across the state following a security alert. The announcement, issued by the Quality Assurance Department, comes on the instruction of the Honourable Minister of Education of Plateau State.
According to the notice, effective Monday, 24th November, all academic and administrative activities in Plateau State schools are suspended until further notice. The closure is described as a precautionary measure aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and school staff.
Heads of institutions in Plateau State have been instructed to comply fully, circulate the notice to all relevant parties, and remain alert for further updates from the ministry.
The authorities are currently addressing the security situation, and Plateau State schools are expected to resume activities once it is deemed safe.
