Queen Naomi Silekunola through her verified Instagram page announced she parted ways with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Njenje Media News reports.
The fair-skinned queen while making the announcement, said she no longer wish to be referred to as the Wife of Ooni of Ife or Queen of Ooni of Ife but as the Queen of the people and mother of her adorable Prince.
But Palace of the Ooni has faulted the claim, asserting that ‘it is not true’.
When contacted, the Ooni’s Director of Media and Public Affairs, Moses Olafare told Vanguard that “this is not the first time such rumours had been peddled. There was a time it was reported that she left the palace and the next thing, she gave birth. So, the story is not true and it should not be taken seriously.”
It remains to be seen if the denial is a face saving measure or reconciliation is in the works.
Or maybe her Instagram account was hacked.?
