A civic-political platform, Rescue Nigeria Alliance (RNA), has formally applied for registration and recognition as an official support group of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a letter addressed to the National Chairman of the ADC, His Excellency Senator David A. B. Mark, GCON, and routed through the party’s National Organizing Secretary at the ADC National Secretariat in Abuja, the group expressed its intention to align formally with the party’s vision and reform agenda.

RNA described itself as a civic-political support platform dedicated to the promotion of good governance, democratic accountability, people-oriented leadership, and national renewal. According to the application, the alliance’s objectives and values are closely aligned with the ADC’s ideological principles, particularly its emphasis on competence, integrity, social justice, and inclusive national development.

The group stated that it seeks to mobilize citizens at the grassroots level in support of ADC programmes, while also contributing to voter education, democratic participation, issue-based advocacy, and constructive political engagement, in line with the party’s constitution and guidelines.

Rescue Nigeria Alliance further requested that the ADC National Working Committee consider and approve its application for official recognition as a key support group, with a coordinating role for other affiliated groups. The alliance pledged to operate strictly within the party’s rules, uphold party discipline, and remain loyal to the leadership and objectives of the African Democratic Congress.

The application was signed by the National Secretary of Rescue Nigeria Alliance, who confirmed that all relevant documents required for the registration process have been submitted, and that the group is available to provide any additional information required by the party.
