Terrorist sect leader, Abubakar Shekau has said his Jamat Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l- Jihad led Boko Haram group is responsible for the February 23 attack on Maiduguri, Borno State, Njenje Media News reports.
In a Video released on Thursday February 25, 2021, Shekau said an infiltration team carried out the attack.
The five minutes, thirty two seconds long video had Shekau denying owning the farm the military discovered in Sambisa Forest.
Njenje Media News recalls that 10 persons were confirmed dead and 47 injured when insurgents, with the use of mortars and rockets, attacked the Borno State capital, Maiduguri on February 23, 2021.
