Chief Valentine Ozigbo, Labour chieftain, and former governorship Candiate in Anambra state, has successfully wrapped up a diplomatic tour across Europe following his participation at the CANEX WEEKEND 2024 in Algeria. This tour, which spanned several key cities, aimed to reshape perceptions and strengthen collaborative efforts within the Nigerian Diaspora, particularly those impacting Anambra State and Nigeria’s South East region.

The tour began on October 20 in Rome, where Ozigbo engaged with Nigerian priests, religious leaders, and seminarians. Unexpected road closures due to a city marathon led to a shift to virtual meetings, where Ozigbo connected with Nigerian community members. He extended special thanks to Mr. Chineh C Uzoma, Henry, and Chinedu for facilitating these productive engagements.

Later that evening, he continued to Frankfurt, where Elder Tango Ugochukwu, Victor Anywuike, and other community members warmly received him. The following day took him to Zurich, where he first visited Bern for discussions with Chief Chijioke Ani, Head of Mission at the Nigerian Embassy in Switzerland. A well-attended town hall later in Zurich, organized by community leaders including Chief Nwankwor Jude, Barrister Dozie C. Ugochukwu, and Chief Matthew Ogbueri, saw robust discussions on opportunities for engagement and development.

Ozigbo arrived in Belgium on October 22, first stopping in Brussels before traveling to Antwerp, where he met with leaders in the Nigerian Diaspora, including Eng. Emeka Nwaogu, Chief Charles Nwachukwu, and other dignitaries. Discussions in Belgium were marked by a shared commitment to community progress and collective growth.

The tour concluded with a vibrant visit to Malaga, Spain. Ozigbo was met at the airport with flowers from young Princess Ifunanya Nwose, a warm gesture that underscored the support of the Diaspora community. Reflecting on his previous visit to Marbella in 2016, where he was awarded CEO of the Year, Ozigbo expressed a renewed vision for transforming his homeland. Hosted by Ózó Kingsley Ndibe, Ogonna Obododiegwu, and Chief Gozie Orji, Ozigbo shared his perspectives on the leadership needed to drive positive change in Anambra and the broader South East.
