Renowned business leader and philanthropist Valentine Ozigbo has been awarded the first-ever Medal for Leadership and Governance Excellence at the 13th edition of the prestigious Seven Stars Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Awards, held over the weekend at the luxurious Troia Design Hotel in Portugal.
The Medal for Leadership and Governance Excellence, also known as Signum Virtutis (“Signature of Valor or Courage”), honours individuals who exemplify exceptional leadership, vision, and integrity on the global stage.
“This award holds special meaning for me,” said Ozigbo. “My journey with the Seven Stars organisation began in 2016 when I was named CEO of the Year in Spain. In 2019, I received the Hospitality Personality of the Year award in Greece and was inducted into the pantheon of global honourees. To return six years later for this new recognition — in a special Jubilee year that I turned 55 — is a testimony to God’s grace.”
Ozigbo noted that the award’s theme reflects the spirit of the Valiant Movement, an initiative he founded earlier this year to champion moral leadership, courage, and renewal in Nigeria and beyond.
He also extended congratulations to fellow award recipients and honourees, including Delborough Lagos, Transcorp Hilton Abuja, Transcorp Centre, Uzo Oshogwe, and Stanley Uzochukwu.
“My gratitude goes to Khalil El-Mouelhy, Nic, and the entire Seven Stars team for their continued excellence in celebrating global distinction,” Ozigbo added. “A special thanks to Abada Iwuchukwu for joining me on this memorable trip.”
