Hailed from Arochukwu in Abia State, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, a down to earth intellectual like most of his contemporaries in Nigeria is thriving successfully in the private sector but like a child of necessity, the Arochukwu born Pharmacist has chosen to come out of the intellectual box to seek a higher career in politics and consequently he is now in the field of politics vying to be the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Born in 1950 at Port Harcourt the capital of Rivers State, Ohuabunwa’s venture into politics and right away into the highly exalted Presidential race might not be the making of the ordinary. His decision to delve into the Presidential race to become the President & Commander In Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria without any record related to occupying any political position either as elected or appointed might not be unconnected with beyond ordinary.
