The winner of last Saturday’s local government election in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State, Ali Namadi is dead, Njenje Media News reports.
His Campaign Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Tiga, said he died on Tuesday, around 1:00am.
His announcement came two days after the state’s electoral commission confirmed his victory.
Njenje Media News reports that Ali Namadi was among the APC chairmanship candidates who was declared victorious in the just concluded local government council elections held on Saturday 16th January, 2021.
The cause of his death is not yet known.
His Campaign PRO said funeral prayers will take place in his hometown, Bebeji, on Tuesday morning.
