Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has relieved the Commissioner for Environment, Igbiks Tamuno of his position, Njenje Media News reports.
This was made known in a statement signed on Tuesday by the Governor’s Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri.
No reason has been given for the sack of Tamuno who got wind of the development while holding a press briefing at his ministry.
The sacked Commissioner to submit all government documents and properties in his possession to the Permanent Secretary of the ministry.
