Armed gunmen has kidnapped scores of students from an Islamic School, Sunday, in Tegina, Rafi Local Government of Niger State, Njenje Media News reports.
Unconfirmed reports put the number of kidnapped students at about 200, but the Chief Press Secretary to Niger State Governor, Mary Noel Barje while confirming the kidnap, said the number of the abducted students was not yet ascertained.
“Yes there was an abduction at an Islamic School in Tegina.
“But we are yet to ascertain the number of student abducted.
“Search and rescue is ongoing,” she said Sunday evening.
