An Anambra born federal House of Assembly member, nicknamed Mr Project has escaped an attack by the unknown gunmen operating in the South East, Njenje Media News reports.
Mr Azubuogu, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and also a gubernatorial aspirant of the forthcoming November 6-Anambra gubernatorial elections, had just escaped an assassination attempt by gunmen this evening of Thursday, September 30, 2021.
His driver was shot dead in the official vehicle of the house of representative federal lawmaker when spotted. It was believed that the assassins thought that Mr Azubogu was in the vehicle.
When contacted, Hon. Azubogu confirmed the incident but said he was safe.
