Information reaching NjenjeMediaNews news desk has it that Unknown Gunmen has set the home of Ohaneze Ndigbo President-General, Prof. George Obiozor on fire in the early hours of Saturday of today, 19th March 2022, at Awo-Omanma in the Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State.

NjenjeMediaNews can authoritatively confirm the sad development, noting that the gang of criminals shoot sporadically in his village, before setting the home of leader of the apex Igbo social cultural organisation on fire. It was also gathered that the attackers who arrived at the Igbo leader’s home in vehicles threw explosive devices at the house.

NjenjeMediaNews reached out to one of the top executive of Ohaneze, who confirmed the incident, noting that “the house of Prof. George Obiozor and that of his brother that resides in America has been set ablaze by the Unknown Gunmen.

It was also learnt that Obiozor was not at home at the time of the attack.
