Assistant Inspector General (AIG ), Ibrahim Kaoje is at the centre of a bribery scandal, Njenje Media News reports.
It was gathered that the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu in an obvious move to manipulate the police in the governorship election in Abia State and the South East, allegedly gifted AIG Kaoje a FordEdge 2021 model, with the vehicle delivered to him in Umuahia.
According to our source, there were other cash gratification for the police officer and his group to aid electoral heist in the South East.
It is worrisome that a decorated officer of the Nigerian police will accept such unholy gratification to bend the will of the people.
This goes to show how the police was so much abused in the 2023 guber polls in Nigeria and the South East in particular.
