Ganduje returns to Nigeria from Dubai, to hold consultative meetings in Kano

Former Kano State Governor and past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has returned to the country after a prolonged stay abroad in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Ganduje arrived in Lagos on Saturday via an Emirates Airlines flight, landing at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at approximately 4:30 p.m., before proceeding to Abuja later in the evening.

Following his arrival, the former APC leader is expected to commence a series of political engagements, including consultations with party officials and other stakeholders, aimed at addressing current political dynamics in Kano State.

In a statement released on Saturday, his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, said the planned meetings would focus on reviewing recent developments within the party and encouraging constructive engagement among key stakeholders.

The statement also disclosed that Ganduje would be involved in the party’s ongoing nationwide electronic membership registration programme.

The e-registration exercise, introduced during his tenure as national chairman, was designed to digitise and strengthen the party’s membership system, improve internal organisation, and ensure accurate and easily retrievable records.

According to the statement, Ganduje continues to prioritise the consolidation of party structures and the promotion of inclusive dialogue as part of broader efforts to enhance internal democracy within the APC, particularly in Kano State.

“The former governor remains committed to strengthening party structures and promoting inclusive dialogue in support of democratic consolidation within the APC, particularly in Kano State,” the statement added.
