Illegal Oil Drilling Activities In Anambra State, The Government Of Anambra Is Aware, But Appears Helpless!

About a couple of weeks ago, an amateur video surfaced online about the discovery of illegal oil exploration in Anambra state. The company engaging in that illegal activity as Njenje MediaNewa found out is known as Sterling Exploration and Energy Producing Company, SEEPCO.

The company is currently illegally drilling oil at Ogbaru LGA of Anambra state, and has been operating in Ogwuaniocha and Ogwuikpele communities since 2014 without “proper registration with the state and lack of observance of the rules in the exploration industry”.

It appears the state is somewhat helpless. All men of goodwill must rise up to help the state before the next environmental disaster happens in Anambra state. Needless to say that nothing accrues to Anambra state from that illegal drilling activity.

In this interview with the Anambra state commissioner for information, C-Don Adinuba and Njenje Media TV (anchored by Maazi Ezeoke) sought for clarification from the state Government.
