InterSociety Unveils Report Warning of Rising Killings, Abductions and Threats to Christians in Nigeria and Africa

Nigeria’s Intersociety Proudly Announces Presentation Of Three Graphic Tables Explaining Our Recent Report On Dangerous Situation Of Africa’s 750m Christians And Nigeria’s 113m Others And Threats Of Genocide To That Effect In The Hands Of Globalized, Africanized And Nigerianized Islamic Jihadists And Updating Of The Report From July 2009-March 2026

The International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (https://intersociety-ng.org) proudly and happily announces the presentation of three Graphic Tables explaining our recent Report on Dangerous Situation of Africa’s 750m Christians and Nigeria’s 113m others and threats of genocide connected thereto, in the hands of Globalized, Africanized and Nigerianized Islamic Jihadists. Intersociety also wishes to announce that it has successfully carried out massive updates on the Report now covering July 2009-March 2026. It is recalled that Intersociety had on Wednesday, Feb 25, 2026 released the main Report including a 15-Page collected statistics backing it. The Report was also derived from our ‘monitored, tracked, collected, investigated, analysed and archived statistics, covering July 2009 to March 2026-using primary, secondary and sub-secondary sources of data collection and management.

Intersociety is also proudly and happily announcing that it has successfully created and added Three Graphic Tables-with less than five minutes viewing and reviewing timeframe and they included: Table 1: graphic analysis of dangerous situation of Africa’s estimated 750m Christians and their possible obliteration by 2075-2125AD (next 50-100 years) using Tsunamic Islamic Jihadism particularly targeting three largest Christian African countries of Congo DRC (115m), Nigeria (113m) and Ethiopia (77m); Table 2: graphic representation of the number of slain and abducted Christians and moderate Muslims in Nigeria-covering July 2009-March 2026-including number of churches destroyed or sacked; number of Christian villages, lands and populations uprooted or sacked; number of Christian IDPs and refugees generated; number of Christian populations forced to flee; number of Christian clerics abducted or killed or missing-and number of worst States or areas affected; Table 3: covering all of the above perpetrated since the beginning of January 2026 or Thursday, January 1-Thursday March 19, 2026 (first 78 days of 2026).

Updated Findings: By our updated findings, the number of defenceless Nigerians killed for their faiths by State actor and non-State actor originated Islamic Jihadists and their enablers, aiders and abettors-from July 2009 to March 19, 2026, is presently found to have risen to no fewer than 190,150 including estimated 128, 750 Christians and 61,400 moderate Muslims; during which no fewer than 131, 100 others including 81,100 Christians and 50, 000 moderate Muslims were abducted; out of which estimated 30,000 including 18,000 Christians and 12, 000 moderate Muslims were estimated to have been abducted and killed in jihadists’ captivity especially during Boko Haram Islamic Insurgency of July 2009-Dec 2014; during which no fewer than 3000 Igbo Christians resident in different parts of Northern Nigeria were targeted, abducted and killed in captivity.

No fewer than 50,000 Christians were also found and estimated to have been abducted by the country’s Islamic Jihadists between 2015 and end of 2025, out of which estimated 20,000 were ransomed and freed, 2,500 taken to foreign jihadists’ camps, 6000 escaped from captivity, 3,500 converted to radical Islamism including remaining Chibok Christian girls belonging to Church of Brethren in Nigeria (EYN), estimated 5000 abducted and killed in captivity, 6000 escaped from captivity, 3000 rescued by security forces through negotiations and inducements and 10,000 others still in captivity. In 2025, alone, estimated 7,500 Christians were killed and 8,500 others abducted across the country for being Christians. In the last 78 days of 2026 or Jan 1-March 19, 2026, no fewer than 1,050 Christians and 550 moderate Muslims have been killed by the Jihadists and 1,690 Christians and 650 moderate Muslims abducted. Earlier on or between Jan 1 and Feb 25, 2026, no fewer than 620 Christian and 500 moderate Muslim lives were lost and 1,090 Christians and 550 Muslims abducted. Relatedly, 23 days after or Feb 25 to March 19 2026, no fewer than 450 Christian deaths (spiked by Boko Haram attacks in Gwoza-Borno since January 2026) and 50 Muslim deaths were recorded and 600 Christians and 100 Muslims abducted. While the Woro and Nuku jihadist massacres and abductions of Feb 4, 2026 in Kwara State spiked the number of moderate Muslim death figures since January 2026, the January to early March 2026 Boko Haram attacks on Gwoza returning Christian refugees spiked the number of Christian death and abduction figures; during which between 250 and 300 Gwoza returning Christian refugees who had lived in Cameroon since 2014 were reportedly massacred and 400 others abducted. Other recorded Christian deaths in the past 23 days of Feb 25 to March 19, 2026 included no fewer than 60 deaths in Benue, 30 in Adamawa, 25 in Plateau, 10 in Southern Kaduna, among others. Relatedly, no fewer than 400 Christians were abducted in Gwoza part of Southern Borno including 200 abducted since March and 200 others earlier abducted from January to February 2026, followed by Southern Kaduna with at least 120 since Feb 25, 2026 and more than 80 others abducted in Adamawa, Taraba, Plateau and Benue States, among others. At least a Catholic Priest and a Pastor (Rev. Joshua Aliya) with ERCC (Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ) have been killed this year in Plateau and Kaduna States.
