Two Reverend Sisters, Vincentia Maria Nwankwo and Grace Mariette Okoli, who were abducted in Anambra State on January 7, 2025, have been released.
Additionally, an unnamed judge, abducted on Saturday, was freed the following day.
A source mentioned that the quick resolution was due to the state’s new security initiative, “Operation Udo Ga Achi,” led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
The release of the Sisters was confirmed in a statement by Sr. Maria Sobenna Ikeotuonye, who said, “I bring to your notice in joy that our dear Sisters Vincentia Maria Nwankwo and Grace Mariette Okoli… have been released unconditionally and in good health.”
She expressed gratitude, adding, “May God forever be blessed through Mary our Mother.”
