Labour Party disowns suspension of National Chairman Julius Abure

The national chairman of the Labour Party, LP, Julius Abure, has distanced himself and the party from the outcome of the LP stakeholders meeting summoned by Governor Otti of Abia State’s Governor Alex Otti.

Otti had called for the stakeholders meeting in Umuahia to address the crisis rocking the party’s leadership.

However, in a statement by the publicity secretary of the party, Obiora Ifoh, Abure declared the meeting as illegal, urging Nigerians to disregard the outcome.

According to the statement, the meeting was not organised by the party and therefore does not reflect its position or interests.

“The Labour Party disowns the outcome of the Umuahia stakeholders meeting convened by Governor Alex Otti.

“The meeting is illegal and unconstitutional, and we urge our members to disregard any resolutions from this gathering,” the statement added.
