Maduka University, Ekwegbe-Nsukka, has achieved a major academic milestone after the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted Full Accreditation to all seven academic programmes it presented during the Commission’s 2025 accreditation exercise.
The comprehensive accreditation exercise was conducted between October and December 2025. According to the official results released by the NUC, all seven programmes assessed received Full Accreditation Status, representing a 100 percent success rate.
The accredited programmes are Accounting, Mass Communication, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Economics, and International Relations.
The university recorded programme scores ranging from 84.8 percent to 97.0 percent, well above the threshold required for Full Accreditation. None of the programmes received Interim or Denied Accreditation.
The accreditation is valid until 2030, reaffirming the institution’s compliance with the NUC’s quality assurance standards.
During the assessment, the accreditation panels commended the university’s strong academic curriculum and programme delivery, adherence to the Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS/CCMAS), adequate library services and learning resources, functional teaching and learning environment, commitment to quality assurance, and overall institutional capacity to provide quality university education.
The outcome underscores Maduka University’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards, institutional quality, and regulatory compliance.
With Full Accreditation secured across all seven programmes, the university has demonstrated that it meets the National Universities Commission’s requirements in areas including academic quality, staffing, infrastructure, library resources, and governance. The achievement is expected to strengthen confidence among students, parents, employers, and other stakeholders in the quality and credibility of the institution’s academic offerings.
