Argentina and Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero has tested positive for coronavirus, Njenje Media News reports.
The Argentina international had been self-isolating after being identified as a close contact of another confirmed case, missing the last four fixtures.
Aguero has now confirmed he has contracted the virus himself as a result of that close contact, which will now see him miss further games as he will be out for at least ten days as per the government guidelines for isolation.
The 32-year-old tweeted;
“After a close contact, I’ve been self-isolating and the latest test I took was positive for COVID 19. I had some symptoms and I’m following doctor’s orders for recovery. Take care, everyone!”
