At a meeting of the South West leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) and the Nigerian Governors forum, it was agreed that open grazing should be banned.
Njenje Media News reports that despite this prohibition, as announced by the leadership of MACBAN, some Fulani Herdsmen were seen on Thursday in Odigbo community, Ondo State openly grazing with their cows.
It remains to be seen what the reaction of the Ondo State Government, Miyetti Allah, NGF and various stakeholders would be and if the new development goes against their joint resolution..
