Valentine Ozigbo, a Nigerian politician and business executive, has shared his thoughts on his recent visit to the United States, where he connected with the Nigerian diaspora community.

“I just wrapped up an incredible few days in the United States, where I had the privilege of connecting with our vibrant Nigerian community,” Ozigbo said.

His journey began on September 28th, attending HRM Igwe Dr. Barrister G. C. Onyediri and Ugoeze Obiageli Onyediri’s 27th wedding anniversary, which coincided with the triple graduation of their three sons.

The 2021 Anambra State PDP Gubernatorial Candidate expressed gratitude to the Rector & Canon Missioner of Holy Saints Anglican Church, Houston, Venerable Chukwuma Ubadinobi, for his special counsel and prayers. The next day, he joined the Igbo Catholic Community in Houston for Holy Mass, where he addressed the congregation, emphasizing the importance of intentional faith and hard work in building communities.

“As I pointed out from the book of Proverbs 29:2, it’s crucial that we not only pray fervently but also actively lend our voices and contribute sacrificially to our collective advancement. We must pray for Nigeria and do our best to play our parts, as Nigerians are groaning,” Ozigbo stressed.

The highlight of his visit was a Townhall meeting in Houston, where discussions centered on Nigeria’s pressing issues, including security, trade, and commerce. Ozigbo expressed gratitude to Dr. Pat Obika, Chief Val Ozigboh, and Dr. Anthony Jay Ikeme, among others, for making his visit meaningful.

“Your warmth, hospitality, and commitment to our homeland are genuinely inspiring,” he said.

Throughout his trip, Ozigbo engaged with various Nigerian communities in Dallas, Maryland, New York, Philadelphia, and Miami. He addressed the Anambra State Association (ASA USA) Convention in Miami, discussing the Ka Anambra Chawapu governance framework.

“What struck me most was the palpable enthusiasm of our people and their optimism for a better future, despite the odds. There’s an evident hunger for positive change, and it’s heartening to see our diaspora community so passionate about Nigeria’s future,” Ozigbo reflected.

He believes this dedication and innovative spirit can bring about positive change. “Together, with intentional effort and divine guidance, we can bring about the positive changes our nation so desperately needs. I thank our diaspora for not only their moral support but also their financial support and willingness to partner with me, the VCO Foundation, and the larger Obidient movement, to achieve the New Nigeria and New Anambra of our dreams.”
