The Expanded South East Security meeting is ongoing at the Enugu State Government House, Njenje Media News reports.
The meeting is holding at the instance of the Country Service Chiefs, Nigeria Minister of Defense, and his Interior counterpart.
The meeting is expected to address the rising insecurity in the South East Region.
It would also serve as the first official visit of the New Chief of Army Staff to the South East region.
Present at the meeting are, the Governors of Ebonyi Dave Umahi, Abia Okezie Ikpeazu, Enugu Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Imo Hope Uzodinma are physically present, while Anambra state, Governor, Willie Obiano represented by his deputy, Nkem Okeke
Leaders of Traditional institutions, Clergymen and Civil Society organizations, and Academics are also physically present.
