The Nigeria Police Force has declared six Anambra residents wanted over their alleged involvement in offences including criminal conspiracy, cyberstalking, criminal defamation and conduct likely to breach public peace.
The declaration was made by the Force Headquarters in Abuja through a Special Police Gazette Bulletin issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Monitoring Unit, and later published on the official social media platforms of the Nigeria Police Force.
The wanted individuals were identified as Emmanuel C. Osinem, Chibuike Kingsley Okoye, Obiechine Patrick Agu, Emmanuel Ikechukwu Aguh, Obiora Samuel Onya and Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia, also known as “Movement.” According to police records, the six suspects are from Isiakpu Village, Nise, in Awka South Local Government Area, which was listed as their last known address.
According to the Police Gazette, the suspects are wanted by the Monitoring Unit of the Force Headquarters over allegations of criminal conspiracy to commit felony, threatening violence, criminal defamation, cyberstalking, criminal trespass, incitement and conduct capable of causing a breach of public peace.
The Force Headquarters did not disclose details of the incident that led to the charges but appealed to members of the public to provide credible information that could assist in apprehending the suspects.
The police also directed anyone who sees any of the wanted persons to report to the nearest police station or the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Monitoring Unit, Force Headquarters, Abuja. A dedicated telephone line, 08038486278, was provided for useful information, with the assurance that the identities of informants would be kept confidential.
