The South East Governors’ Forum Summit on Security and Economy is a reminder of the importance of the security and economic wellbeing of the South East Region of Nigeria.
The Summit, which will hold on the 28th and 29th of September, 2023 in Owerri, Imo State, is a major event in the region, and is being hosted by the Governors of the five South East States; Imo, Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi and Enugu.
The Summit is an opportunity for the Governors to come together and discuss the security and economic issues facing the region. The Governors are expected to map out a plan to tackle the security and economic challenges in the region, and to work towards achieving sustainable development and prosperity.
The Summit will also provide the platform for the Governors to interact with other relevant stakeholders and discuss the various initiatives and programmes that have been put in place to ensure the security and economic development of the region. It is expected that the Summit will help to strengthen the ties between the various stakeholders, and create a platform for collaboration and cooperation in the region.
It is also expected that the Summit will help to foster unity and understanding between the various communities in the region, and to create an atmosphere of peace and harmony, and strengthen the bond between the people of the South East region, and create an environment conducive for economic growth and development.
In attendance for the Summit are various stakeholders, including the Governors of the five South East States, the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, the Youths, various agitating groups and other relevant individuals and organisations. It is expected that the Summit will be an important platform for the various stakeholders to come together and discuss the issues and challenges that need to be addressed in order to ensure the security and economic progress of the South East Region.
