Two PDP Chieftains Decamp To APC In Sokoto

Two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwarts in Sokoto State, the party’s Vice Chairman of Isa local government, Alhaji Garba Araga; and Alhaji Garba Marafa Tozai, a Special Assistant to the governor, at the weekend dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC), Njenje Media News reports

The ruling PDP in the state has witnessed mass defection of its members to the APC in recent times.

The latest defectors, Araga and Tozai, according to a source, defected with hundreds of their teeming supporters in the area.

Our sources explained that Alhaji Garba Araga and Marafa Tozai explained that they decided to throw up their membership of PDP as the party renounced facts and all vital advice which led to the total failure of fulfilling on the promises made to its people during the campaign period.

He noted that retired Col. Garba Moyi Isa, a former Commissioner also decamped to APC, saying that the party had been strengthened and remained optimistic of winning the elections in the area as the PDP led-government in the state was an absolute failure and not ready to cater for the needs of the people of the state.
