The Village Boys Movement (VBM) hereby announces the “Give Us Peter Obi” March, scheduled for Saturday, 9th May 2026, in Abuja.
This peaceful and lawful civic mobilisation is driven by a clear and singular objective: to urge the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to cede its 2027 presidential ticket to Peter Obi through a transparent, credible, and unified consensus process.
VBM firmly believes that Nigeria stands at a Critical crossroads, one that demands competent, disciplined, and people-centred leadership. Peter Obi has consistently demonstrated the capacity, integrity, and national appeal required to reposition the country and restore public trust in governance. A consensus candidacy within the ADC will not only consolidate reform-minded forces but also present Nigerians with a credible and viable alternative.
The March will serve as a peaceful expression of the people’s will, bringing together citizens, youth groups, civil society actors, and all stakeholders committed to charting a new course for Nigeria. Participants are expected to conduct themselves responsibly and in full compliance with the law, while amplifying a unified message of hope, competence, and national renewal.
VBM calls on members of the African Democratic Congress, allied movements, and well-meaning Nigerians to rise to this moment and support a consensus that reflects the aspirations of the majority.
