Currently, Anambra is the state at the centre of mindless killings and arson and destruction. High profile figures have been killed in the state even before the recent killing of Dr Chike Akunyili. Two days ago, public buildings including the DSS and road safety offices were burnt. So it is safe to say the state is the centre of the current festival of blood in the southeast.
Yet,
In the meeting held today in Enugwu by Southeast governors and National Assembly members, Traditional Rulers, Clergy and the Apex Igbo Socio-cultural Organization to discuss ways of finding solutions to the current crisis, Governor Willie Obiani of the same Anambra state was the only Southeast governor who neither attended the meeting nor sent his deputy. The same thing played out during the last Southern Governors Forum meeting held in Enugwu where the same Obiano was the only Igbo governor who didn’t come and didn’t bother sending a representative.
Plus, the same Obiano openly said his state does not need any Anti-Open Grazing law. Imagine the kind of outrage that statement would have drawn if it had come from governor Hope Uzordimma or Dave Umahi???
Obiano is not APC, the so called Fulani party oooo. He is an APGA governor, the so called Igbo party
