The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to the timely and high-quality completion of the ongoing Zuba–Kaduna highway project, emphasizing collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Works and the Kaduna State Government to accelerate infrastructural development in the region.
During an inspection visit, a senior government official expressed admiration for the level of technical understanding and oversight demonstrated by the Honourable Minister of Works.
“I am surprised — when I came here, he broke down the entire project offhand, from the size and scope to the level and quality of what is going on there,” the official said. “If we had more Honourable Ministers like him in Nigeria, we could go to sleep without having any problems.”
In response, the Managing Director of Infiouest International Limited, Mr. Joseph Abou Jaounde, the contractor handling the project, assured the Honourable Minister of the company’s commitment to meeting the set standards and timelines.

“I am here to assure you that, even though we have faced some challenges in Kaduna, within the next two weeks we will visit the site to ensure that this portion of the road is joined with Zuba to Kaduna. All sections will be connected to ensure the work is completed on time, with the required quality,” Mr Jaounde stated.
The project, which forms part of the Federal Government’s nationwide infrastructure expansion under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, is receiving strong backing from the Kaduna State Government.
Governor Uba Sani’s administration has been instrumental in fostering collaboration with federal authorities to tap into the ongoing infrastructural revolution across Nigeria’s geo-political zones. Known for his visionary leadership and passion for development, Governor Sani has earned recognition for his contributions to democracy, governance, and social transformation.
A financial expert, administrator, and advocate of good governance, Governor Sani played a key role in the pro-democracy movement during Nigeria’s struggle against military rule, mobilizing citizens across Northern Nigeria for freedom and civil rights. Today, as the Governor of Kaduna State, he continues to demonstrate unwavering dedication to improving the socio-economic conditions of his people — efforts that are being bolstered by the support and infrastructure-driven policies of the Tinubu administration.
