Governor Muhammadu Badaru of Jigawa State has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, as the best team to deliver dividends of democracy to Nigerians, Njenje Media News reports.

The Governor gave the indication while inaugurating the Stakeholders Special Duties Directorate of the Presidential Campaign Council of the APC in Abuja.

He expressed the belief that the Directorate would deliver twenty million votes in favour of the APC.

The Governor advised Nigerians to ignore the religious sentiment in some quarters regarding the same faith candidature of the party’s candidates.

Governor Badaru explained that Asiwaju Tinubu had impacted individuals, groups and states and expressed the belief that he would improve the lives of Nigerians.

The Coordinator of the Directorate, Senator Grace Bent, said the major focus of the Directorate was to manage and resolve the public religious outcry against APC’s 2023 same-faith presidential ticket and buy back the affection of some Nigerians upset with the candidature.

The Secretary of the Directorate, Pastor Timothy Ademola, stressed that the group would hit the ground running to achieve its mandate.

Religious leaders from Christian and Islamic faiths gave goodwill messages urging Nigerians to avoid sentiments capable of bringing disunity.

Meanwhile, Tinubu will contest with other 2023 presidential candidates like Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), among others, in next year’s general election.
