Based on the judgement delivered by the Supreme Court today 4th April 2025 in Abuja on behalf of Labour Party, Nigeria on matters relating to the constitutional provisions of party leadership.

We found it expedient to clarify on matters which may be misinterpreted by individuals who are bent on distabilising our great party for their selfish interest, especially here in Abia State where the leadership of the party has remained strong and purposeful

Therefore, it is hereby established that:

1. The Supreme Court ruled that no Court in the country have the right to dabble into internal politicial Party leadership disagreement.

2. That it is the total responsibility of the leadership of the Party to handle her problems through Political Solution as enshrined in their Party constitution.

3. More so, INEC in clear terms have applied to get the Certified True Copy (CTC) of today’s Supreme Court judgement to enble their legal team review it thoroughly and issue an official statement within the next 24 hours.

4. Therefore, I advise that all Labour Party faithfuls, especially those in Abia State and across the country including our Diaspora supporters should stay calm and confident that the Judgement delivered at the Supreme Court today is in favour of Barr. Julius Abure led National Executive Committee (NEC) of our Party.

5. The leadership of our great party, comprising of members of the NEC made a very valid decision at the National Convention held in Nnewi Anambra State on the 27th March 2024 which was duly Chaired by our able Governor, H.E. Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) who was ably represented by his Deputy H.E. Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu.

7. Finally, it will only serve in the best interest of the party for all concerned to reference and return to the constitution of the party for everyone to continue to enjoy the dividend of democracy which Labour Party has continued to represent and promote till date.

8. The party remains strong and focused to address all matters concerning membership welfare and leadership of the party at any given time as we March towards total victory of the Nigerian state from lawlessness and abuse of power and privileges against it’s citizenry.
