Adamawa State Finally Set To Hold Local Government Election April 9

The Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) has confirmed that the state’s local government election will hold on Saturday, April 9, Njenje Media News reports.

The Commission said it will be conducting elections in all the 21 local government councils in the state on Saturday.

ADSIEC’s statement was signed and made available to newsmen by Innocent Zira, Information Officer.

Recall that there has been speculation that the Adamawa council election, postponed twice since December last year, has been postponed once again.

But in its statement, ADSIEC urged all electorates to disregard “rumours about the postponement of the April 9th local council polls”

He said, “All registered voters are therefore advised to come out en mass and vote for the candidates of their choice at their various polling units from 8:00am to 2:00pm,” the Commission said in a statement.
