Aftermath Of Mbaka’s Scuffle: Enugu Catholic Diocese To Have One Week Prayer For Cleansing

The Catholic Diocese of Enugu has declared a one week union of prayer for atonement and reparation to cleanse its altar that was allegedly debased by pro-Mbaka protesters, Njenje Media News reports.

The Diocesan Bishop, Rev. Callistus Onaga in a memo sent to all parishes, chaplaincies, and religious houses in the Catholic Diocese of Enugu called on all members of the diocese to begin the atonement prayers from the 7th of May 2021 to the 14th of May 2021.

Njenje Media News recalls, that on the 5th of May 2021, protesters invaded the diocesan headquarters, asking for the whereabouts of Father Mbaka who was adjudged to have been missing and desecrated the Church, vandalizing properties.
