A Bullion van containing a large sum of money was attacked along Ondo/Akure road by daredevil armed men, Njenje Media News reports.
According to reports, the robbers were successful in their operation as they made away with all the money in the bullion van.
The incident, which happened in Bolorunduro area of Ondo town lasted for several minutes, after which the gunmen fled the scene.
The spokesperson of the Ondo State Police Command, Tee-Leo Ikoro, while confirming the incident, said the bullion van was conveying money from Ondo to Akure.
According to him, the robbers overpowered the security personnel escorting the van.
