The Magajin Gari of Sokoto and one of the kingmakers of the Sultanate Council, Alhasan Ahmad Danbaba is dead, Njenje Media News reports.
The deceased was the grandson of the Premier of Northern Nigeria Region ,during the regional government in Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello.
A source told TVCNEWS that by ranking the Magajin Gari is the third in the hierarchy of command after the Waziri who is second on standing below the Sultan.
The Sultanate Council is yet to make any public announcement regarding his death, but reliable sources at the palace confirmed the demise of the Magajin Gari.
A source says the deceased will be buried in Sokoto, as unconfirmed sources say he died in Kaduna.
