The 24th of August 2020 marked exactly one year of the Akanu Ibiam Internation Airport closure for runway repairs. To mark the one year closure, Njenje Media TV reached out to Engineer Chris Okoye via Zoom for a video conference to understand what exactly is happening at the closed airport regarding its repairs and the possibility of its reopening on the scheduled date, the 30th of August 2020.
Chief Engr. Chris Okoye, is the Chairman of South-East Governors Committee on Akanu Ibiam Airport Rehabilitation and Palliatives, an accomplished professional and registered civil engineer of phenomenal proportions.
