Anya-Ndi-Igbo has mourned the passing of Chief Ayo Adebanjo, describing him as a principled Nigerian leader whose life inspired many toward the common good.

In a statement, the group said, “He advocated for justice, equity, collaboration, and sound judgment. Despite abrasive challenges, he stood firm, convinced of the validity of his principles.”

The leaders emphasized his fearless pursuit of truth. “God blessed him with a long life, which he used to do God’s work by speaking the truth without being compelled or induced.”

They lauded his integrity: “He meant what he said, practiced what he preached, and asked others to follow his example.”

Dr. Uma Eleazu, Engr. Chris Okoye, and other Igbo leaders paid tribute, adding, “His resolute and clear voice will be sorely missed. May the angels welcome him to the community of Saints Triumphant.”
