Chief Mabzulike Amechi, the nation’s first minister of aviation, has passed away at the age of 93, Njenje Media News reports.

This was disclosed by Azeana Tagbo Amechi, the family’s spokesperson, who stated in a statement that Chief Amechi passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, in the early hours.

In accordance with the Almighty God’s will, the Ume Amechi, Ezeana Ihinede, and Umu Mmara families of Amihe Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State announce the peaceful passing of our illustrious son, father, and grandfather, Chief Mbazulike Amechi (Dara Akunwafor), Nationalist and First Republic Minister of Aviation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who transitioned peacefully in the early hours of today November 1, 2022.
