Member representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency in Oyo State and founder of Nairabet, Mr. Akin Alabi has corrected the notion in some quarters that a new year would resolve all problems humans encounter in the outgoing year.
Njenje Media News reports that the philanthropist was making this known in a post on Social Media where he asserted that Nigerians just have to work harder than ever before so that the new year can be better.
In his words;
“Somehow, we think because it will be a new year soon, all the problems of 2020 will disappear. Sorry to burst your bubble, it won’t”.
He continued;
“I’ve noticed people can’t wait for 2020 to end with the assumption that the problems we are having now will disappear. Let me tell you something, come next week Friday, January 1, 2021, the problems will still be there”.
“There will still be Covid. Your rent that has not been paid will not automatically get paid.GB Your business that is down will not suddenly come up. You just have to really grind harder than you have ever done before if you expect the year to be better. The date turning will not change things”, he said.
