A tragic incident has shaken a church community in Ijegun, Lagos. Just days after the congregation purchased a new sound system, robbers struck at night, leaving destruction in their wake and killing the church’s choir leader.

Eyewitnesses said the thieves gained entry by creating a hole in the church wall under the cover of darkness. They quickly loaded the new instruments onto their vehicle. Disturbingly, the church leader, a trusted member of the congregation, reportedly helped the robbers carry the items.

Tragedy occurred when the choir leader, attempting to exit with some of the stolen instruments, touched an exposed electrical wire. Witnesses described a loud crackle followed by his sudden fall. He was electrocuted instantly, while the other accomplices escaped unharmed. The church community remains in deep shock over the loss.
