A fake EFCC operative, Mr Williams Michael Ogwezi has been arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for defrauding a lady of N10m, Njenje Media News reports.
The EFCC Lagos Zonal Office arrested Williams Ogwezi who is also known as Dr. Williams for pretending to be a staff of the commission and in the process dupe people.
The suspect had been a member of a syndicate that specializes in making forged identity cards of EFCC and other law enforcement agencies and was apprehended after a report was submitted to the EFCC by the Police Area Command in Ajah, Lagos.
Njenje Media News learnt that further investigation had revealed that the suspected had defrauded a lady of a jewelry that is worth over Ten Million Naira, and offense he reportedly confessed to.
One EFCC inscribed identity card, EFCC face masks, three laptops, three mobile phones and two vehicles were recovered from him.
